Food and Beverage Position

Placement Description:

Gain invaluable skills and knowledge in the Food and Beverage department of a world-leading luxury hotel/resort through a J-1 program at the Hotel Crescent Court. Train in a diverse and multicultural environment, under the guidance and leadership of industry leaders in the guest services field as you rotate through different outlets on the property. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Training Plan Phases:

  • Orientation
  • In Room Dining Mastery Training
    In this phase, the intern will be introduced to the In-Room Dining Operations. This phase involves high guest contact and represents the first point of contact for all clients. The intern will assist guests regarding the menu items in an informative and helpful way. The intern will be consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service in the department, including setting up VIP rooms and amenities for all guests to enjoy.
  • Banquets & Events Operations Training
    Hotel Crescent Court offers Dallas event venues and meeting spaces in various sizes, from the Crescent Ballroom with its gold-coffered ceiling, to the intimate candlelit Wine Cellar. This allows the hotel to introduce the intern to the catering and banquet services. The intern will be trained on how to execute a variety of banquet events, from conferences to weddings, while maintaining mandatory levels of service and brand standards.
  • Restaurant Fine Dining Operations Training
    During this phase, the intern will receive a comprehensive training at Hotel Crescent Court’s different fine dining restaurants. The intern will be trained in front and back of house operations, and will experience all positions within the department for a comprehensive understanding of the operational requirements of the hotel’s restaurants.

Front Desk Position

Placement Description:

Train in a great hotel with a dedicated staff that is ready to teach you all the aspects of Guest Services and the duties of a Front Office Associate. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience needed to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Intern will train in all areas of Front Office, including, but not limited to, Front Desk/Guest Services Experience Training, PBX Mastery Training, Front Desk Supervisor Shadowing Phase

Training Plan Phases:

  • Orientation
  • Front Desk/Guest Services Experience TrainingThe objective of this phase is to help the trainee learn all the necessary skills required to operate in the Front Desk department. The Front Desk is the key to the success of the hotel. The trainee will be trained on all aspects of Front Desk operations starting with the policies and procedures. Gaining knowledge of them will prepare the trainee for training in future phases.
  • PBX Mastery TrainingThe objective of this phase is to help the trainee learn all the necessary skills required to operate in the back office. The Royal Service Department is a crucial part of Front Office operations as it serves as a central hub of communication.
  • Front Desk Supervisor Shadowing PhaseApply skills and knowledge of front desk operations and functions. Develop supervisory skills within the front desk department by shadowing the supervisor’s daily duties.
