The main responsibilities of the dishwasher are to collect dirty dishes from the dining room, wash all dishes, and return them to their proper place once they have been cleaned. At the end of each shift, it will also be the dishwasher’s responsibility to clean the dish station, sinks, and floor. At other times, based on business needs, a participant may be asked to assist in bussing tables in the dining room, wash windows, sweep floors and sidewalks, mop floors, general kitchen prep work, and any other job that will aid the restaurant.
Ability to read and understand orders quickly is required. Previous Restaurant kitchen/cooking experience preferred but not required. Cooks must be able to spends long hours on their feet in a hot kitchen environment. Participants will be working with other employees to prepare orders in an EXTREMELY fast paced and high pressure environment. You will need to be able to communicate with other cooks to accurately time your dishes and ask for help if you need it.
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing the kitchen before the start of the shift including prepping food for service each day; and stocking the line, pantries or walk-in refrigerators/freezers. Must be able to work under pressure, stand on your feet for long periods of time, be able to work in hot work environment around the ovens and a cold work environment in the freezers and walk in coolers. Mustbe able to work quickly and efficiently.
